1. We have a policy of only taking a maximum of 5 on PADI Open Water Courses and Advanced Courses as it means we can give expert and individual attention to each student – it’s a bit like the small school classes issue. It’s much, much better for the learning to dive experience.
2. Secondly, we offer a free extra dive on the Open Water Course so instead of just 4 Open Water dives you will each get 5 great dives out on the pristine and unrivalled Agincourt Ribbon Reefs on the outer Great Barrier Reef.
3. Thirdly, we have a unique policy that if, for any reason, anyone wishes to cancel at the end of day one of the course we offer a refund of $300. No other dive centre in the area makes such a commitment.

Great private scuba diving day trips for qualified divers to the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs
On Poseidon we can take you on great privately guided scuba diving day trips up to the stunning Agincourt Ribbon Reefs north-east of Port Douglas.
You will have your own private Blue Dive guide who knows all the best and hidden areas of the reef. It’s a luxurious way to dive. You’ll be diving away from the crowds.
We have our own comfortable area on Poseidon next to the experienced and friendly skippers.
Perfect for experienced divers and photographers as we can tailor the dives to suit your experience or requirements.
Also an excellent option for those just qualified or those who may be a little nervous and and want the personal support of one of our expert instructors.
We can also take you on Calypso to the Opal Reef Complex.

Poseidon also has a licence to swim with Minke whales that visit the area between May and August. It can be an incredible experience.

Your expert PADI Blue Dive guide will fully brief you and accompany you on your underwater adventure to one of the natural wonders of the world.
No experience necessary just good health and a sense of adventure.
PADI courses all the way to Divemaster
Blue Dive can also offer plenty of other exciting and challenging scuba diving for those with a bit of experience – we offer expert PADI Scuba tuition from the PADI Advanced Course (with a Lake Eacham option), up to the Divemaster level.
Lake Eacham – Rainforest volcano diving option
We also offer fascinating and unusual day trips up to Lake Eacham; an extinct volcano and freshwater lake at 720m altitude up in the tropical rainforest in the Atherton Tablelands.
This trip is great for non- divers too. Please enquire for more details and price.
The lake is full of Red-Clawed Yabbies (small lobsters) and freshwater turtles.
Strange rock formations and fallen trees make it a memorable if unusual scuba dive… surfacing surrounded by a lush rainforest is some experience.
Great day trips, including a dive, where you get to see parts of Queensland away from the tourist trail.
Trips include picnic lunch and visits to amazing Curtain Fig Tree.
Optional trip to Granite Gorge to see wild Rock Wallabies by the hundreds and swim in the gorge.
